Volunteering is a great way to go behind the scenes, develop new skills, meet new people, help the community and have fun!

MICA currently has openings for coordinator and docent roles. We expect our volunteers to perform their duties efficiently, demonstrate commitment to the MICA objective: create an experience so that the general public will be interested in coming back next year, HAVE FUN, SMILE and BE COURTEOUS.

BURNING DESIRES

Each Valentine’s Day weekend, MICA curates an afternoon of love-themed poetry, music and theatrical acts from across the country.

Each September, Michigan BluesFest brings top local, regional and international acts, plus thousands of fans, together to celebrate the Blues.

Portions of the festival were livestreamed.

Each August, MICA transforms the streets of Lansing’s Old Town into a venue for one of the largest, most diverse, and longest-running JazzFest in Michigan.

Terry Terry was honored by the Jazz Alliance of Mid-Michigan (JAMM) for his contributions to jazz at their annual awards tribute held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at UrbanBeat in Old Town, Lansing.

TURNER PARK PLACE
